Well, I made it through the week. It was a tough one – 12 hour days take their toll after a while – but I am satisfied with where things are going. I even get to take the weekend off to relax…. I mean to clean my house, get Uverse installed so I can get rid of Time Warner Cable (out, devil!), and go to a wedding. The wedding will be a lot of fun. The rest, well, it must be done.
My friend Helen is very much like me. It’s a little weird sometimes. We are both the oldest of three, the age difference between us and our siblings is similar, and we started our job on the same day. We work for the same company, we got promoted at the same time, and we are in charge of the same project. We are also really big nerds. In a good way! Anyway, since we are both stressed about this work business, we have made a little Wii date for 2 weeks from now. We are going to play some Wii, hang out, and probably bitch to each other.
Most importantly, we will NOT be stressing then. Very important to the Wii playing process.
Mel and Matt (also known as The Judge) are getting married tomorrow. I am so excited for them! The wedding will be beautiful - at my parents’ church, and my brother and a bunch of his friends that I know are in the wedding party. The reception will be really nice and fun. I bought a beautiful new dress (on sale, thank you holiday dresses), and I even bought a new lipstick. Course, I bought the lipstick for the hell of it, but it’s still exciting.
I am thrilled to be getting rid of stupid Time Warner and switching to Uverse. It is going to be a lot better service, with extra perks, and most importantly, it will be cheaper. Plus, the DVR with it is better, and I am a sucker for DVR. I end up watching crazy things (Top Chef, Project Runway, New Amsterdam).
This is a really random post, but I just needed to empty my mind a little bit. Thanks for sticking with me through this (or boo! if you abandoned it).
